Quick Reads for Parents Each year this website commissions big name authors to write short books that are specifically designed to be easy to read. They are the same as mainstream books in every respect but are simply shorter and easier to tackle for adults who are less confident in their reading skills.

Teach Your Monster to Read Teach your Monster to Read: First Steps is a new, free game to practise the first steps of reading. The game is built on the principles of synthetic phonics and follows the teaching sequence of the Letters and Sounds programme.
