Visit to Stanley Marsh

On Tuesday, 1st March, we visited Stanley Marsh Nature Reserve. Sue, a Ranger from the Local Authority, met us to show us around. We learnt all about how to recognise different trees without using the leaves, and about the different habitats that exist there. It is a very important place for us locally, as it supports a host of plant, animal and insect life. When we returned to school, the children wrote leaflets and posters to inform visitors about what they might see at the Marsh. The children had a lovely time, despite the drizzle, and said a big thank you to Sue!
